Fees

The rate for a standard 50 minute session with Hilary is $270, which is less than the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc recommended fee of $340. Hilary offers a reduced fee on a needs basis, however she has reached the maximum number of clients she can sustainably support with a reduced fee. 

Session fees must be paid in full at the time of your appointment. You can review the cancellation policy here.

Medicare

 

If you have a Medicare card and live in Australia, you may be eligible to receive Medicare rebates under the Better Access scheme for up to 10 sessions in a calendar year (from January to December). As of the 1st of July 2026, the rebate for Clinical Psychologists is $149.05 per 50 minute session.

In order to receive a Medicare rebate, you need to have a valid referral (Mental Health Care Plan) from a GP, psychiatrist or a paediatrician. You can claim the rebate yourself following your appointment using the Medicare app, or we can process it for you provided we have a copy of the referral and your medicare card details.

 

Only sessions that you attend are eligible for rebates

If you forget a session and are charged the non-attendance/late cancellation fee, this will not be eligible for a rebate as no service has been provided.

 

The rebate amount varies depending on the length of time you attend

The rebate of $149.05 can only be applied if you attend your session for the full 50 minutes. If you are late, the rebate you are eligible for will reduce; if you attend for more than 30 minutes but less than 50 minutes, the rebate amount will be $101.55. If you attend the session for less than 30 minutes, this session will not be eligible for a rebate. Regardless of the rebate/time you attend, the session fee of $270 will still apply as the 50 minutes was set aside for you.

NDIS

​​As of the 1st of July 2026, the standard rate for NDIS psychology sessions will be $252.99​. A full price schedule can be found here.

Private Health

​

Some session costs can be offset against some Private Health Extras Cover and rebates vary according to your level of coverage.

Letters & Assessments

 

Hilary does not charge a fee to complete forms in support of special provisions, SEAS applications, or academic adjustment plans for current clients.

​

Requests for other letters or reports to be completed outside session incur a fee.

​

Please note Hilary does not conduct assessments for ADHD, and cannot provide court reports.
